Step into the whimsical world of Gisela Robinson in her latest exhibition Whimsy & Wonder. This evocative collection brings together portraits of literary icons, playful creatures in bottles, people entwined with animals and editorial treasures - all woven with Gisela’s signature tenderness and storytelling flair.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Gisela is an Argentine-born illustrator and artist based in Shrewsbury, where she lives with her husband and children. With a foundation in Media Communications and Art & Illustration, she further completed a Master’s degree in Editorial Illustration in Madrid, where she established herself as a freelance illustrator.

Gisela’s artistic practice embraces a diverse range of media - watercolour, gouache, acrylic, ink, pencil, and digital - through which she weaves narratives. 

You may recognise Gisela´ style from some of the painted BT boxes that she has painted around town.  Her portfolio also includes collaborations with international children’s magazines, book publishers, and local councils, alongside delivering creative workshops for adults and schools. In addition, Gisela has developed her own line of prints, stationery and illustrated products, available locally and online.

A nature and animal lover, when she is not drawing or painting, she enjoys walking. reading, cooking, spending time with her family & friends and enjoying the beautiful Shropshire countryside.

Exhibitions are regularly extended to the Chapel Bar, located on Stalls level.
