In Spring 2017 Theatre Severn plans to make history by embarking on a new exciting era as it produces it's first ever production. William Shakespeare's MACBETH will be performed in The Walker Theatre in late April and will be directed by the incredibly talented and inventive Loveday Ingram. Hailed as one of the 'liveliest and most accomplished directors' of her generation, Ingram's current production of THE ROVER with The Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-Upon-Avon has received 4 & 5 star reviews from The Stage, The Guardian and the Times.

It is clear that Loveday is thrilled to be involved in this historic event, 'Theatre Severn offers such a diverse programme, but as a director I have always felt that the theatre could give local audiences an exciting and imaginative production that has been created professionally within the building. I am delighted that I will be making history by directing Theatre Severn's first ever production. I cannot wait to begin rehearsals for MACBETH...a play that is so thrilling that the mere mention of it's name conjures up images of the supernatural and superstition!'

David Jack, the Operations and Programme Manager for Theatre Severn says this event will give local audiences something new.'It's incredibly exciting that we will be producing a professional show of the highest quality, in-house for the very first time. Having Loveday at the helm means that we are in for a treat. I feel proud that we are able to build MACBETH in to our programme for 2017 and even prouder that we will be offering educational workshops alongside the show. It's exciting to offer something that we haven't done before.'

MACBETH will be performed in The Walker Theatre at Theatre Severn from Tuesday 25th- Saturday 29th April. To book tickets call the Box Office on 01743 281281 or book online at
