"You know how it is," said Captain Nancy, "dark at teatime and sleeping indoors. Nothing ever happens in the winter holidays".

But then the Lake begins to freeze...

The nation's most famous children are back at their beloved Lake in search of new excitements. With the water completely frozen over, they are planning to cross the ice by sledge and skate to the 'mythical North Pole. Its a race against time, a gathering snowstorm, and the doctor's desperate orders to quarantine.

This is the story Arthur Ransome fans love most - "the greatest Swallows and Amazons book ever."

And now this family adventure of the best possible kind is being brought to the stage for the very first time. A world premiere for Theatre Severn. Expect an authentic and highly imaginative re-telling of the wonderful 1930s story, with an experienced adult cast playing all the children.... which is why 7-year-old Roger had grey hair!
