The first ever Shrewsbury International Comedy Festival (SICF) is happening on one BIG weekend in July 2017.

Providing opportunities for top circuit acts to preview their Edinburgh Fringe Festival material, and giving a very select crowd of comedy fans an unmissable chance to see them, the festival will feature 16 performances, across 4 venues in Shrewsbury.

SATURDAY 22 JULY

1.45PM - 2.45PM  GLENN WOOL VIVA FOREVER

GLENN WOOL (as seen on The John Bishop Show and 8 Out of 10 Cats) returns with a hysterical new show chronicling his past two years, which is interesting because... well, just come to the show. He'll tell you then.

5.30PM - 6.30PM  CHARLIE BAKER THE HIT POLISHER

Entertainment Combined Harvester CHARLIE BAKER (Harry Hill's Teatime, O2 Comedy Gala, Eastenders) sings his nostalgic love letter to pop music of the 80s, 90s and 00's. Part Comedy, Part Cabaret his jokes, dancing and musical reimagining of throwaway hits will send you into the Shropshire night with a happier soul. 

9.15PM - 10.15PM  GEIN'S FAMILY GIFTSHOP VOLUME 3

Like persistent dandruff GEIN'S FAMILY GIFTSHOP are back, and they are itching to show you what they've come up with. Skin ailments aside, this multi-award winning 4 strong, 5 star sketch group will be hawking out yet another hour of "fluid and twisted" (Guardian) sketch comedy, performed with "the kind of sensibility that would unsettle even the darkest League of Gentlemen fan" (Sunday Times).
