Theatre Severn presents

MACBETH

something wicked this way comes...

Macbeth's rise to the crown is a foul business. The desire to be King leads him to commit bloody and treacherous acts. But is it all his own doing? Do the wandering witches or the whisperings of his wife take Macbeth's weak will and shape it into action.

Highly successful and respected director LOVEDAY INGRAM brings Theatre Severn's first ever production to life, and explores how prophecy, murder and political ambition unfold in a desolate wilderness.

Hailed as one of the 'liveliest and accomplished directors of her generation, she comes to us direct from The Royal Shakespeare Company, where her production of Aphra Behn's The Rover in Stratford-upon-Avon has recently received rave reviews from The Stage, The Guardian and The Times.

Thsi ground-breaking production will be staged in-the-round, with a central performance space surrounded by seating on all sides.
