Well-known historian, broadcaster and TV presenter DAN SNOW recounts anecdotes and memorable experiences from his successful career, and will also share historical facts of local interest relating to Shrewsbury and Shropshire
 
Son of BBC broadcaster Peter Snow, nephew of Channel 4 newsreader Jon Snow and the great, great grandson of British Prime Minister David Lloyd George, Dan remembers a childhood visiting castles, battlefields, country houses and churches, and developing a great love of history. He has a regular slot on The One Show (BBC1) and presented anniversary programmes commemorating the Battle of Britain and the landings at Gallipoli. Dan has also written or contributed to several books including most recently The Battle of Waterloo Experience.

This is an umissable evening for academics, student, families and all those interested in the history of Shrewsbury, Shropshire and beyond. The evening concludes with a live Q&A, as Dan opens the floor and invites questions from the audience.
